Ideas, Ideas, Ideas
Any sooner to be bride in the planning process knows just how many IDEAS there are out there. While planning my wedding I came across so many wonderful ideas. I used some of them and some of them I just never had the chance or money to do. I still think most of them are neat though.
Below are photos I found during my time planning that I thought were neat DIY ideas.
Below are photos I found during my time planning that I thought were neat DIY ideas.
1. Bathroom Baskets
I love the idea of bathroom baskets! I did not do them for my wedding though do to cost and also because our reception was in a hotel ballroom and our guest shared a bathroom with guest of the hotel restaurant. I see no reason to supply non-wedding guest with goodies. However, I attended a wedding in a small church hall and a bathroom basket would have been great there. I was in need of a band-aid after dancing all night and a bathroom basket would have had one.
2. The Candy Bar
Any idea I had never heard of or seen till posting The Knot and an idea I totally feel in LOVE with! I wanted one sooooo bad! In the end though, didn't happen. I gave up my candy bar dreams so that DH could have his dream. An ice cream cake. Looking back the money saved on the candy bar and spend on the ice cream cake was well worth it. Our guest loved the ice cream cake. A word to those considering a candy bar - be careful. You could easily spend 100's of dollars buying candy to fill jars.
3. Invites
Oh how many ways to make a wedding invite! Again, before TK I had never seen or even heard of a pocketfold invite. I had only seen the normal one page invites that had a simple RSVP card included. I loved the idea of pocketfolds because I knew we had a large number of out of town guest who needed a lot of information. During my search to find the perfect pocketfold design for me I saw a lot of other great ideas. (Make sure and check out my invites my clicking here).
4. Photoshare cards
We did a type of photoshare card. We did OOT bags and include a note about emailing photos to use in the letter.
5. Wedding wishes
We did a wishing bowl and I'm so glad that we did. Check our our wishing bowl here.
6. Seating charts
I modeled my seating chart off the ideas below. See mine here!
7. Table numbers
We ended up using standard table number offered by the venue due to cost of making them, time and because we simply couldn't decide what to do but here are some ideas I had found and liked.
